I’ve had a crazy week. I helped my daughter move out of our home into her first apartment for college. Here we’d spent the day cleaning her apartment and moving in her things. We were both exhausted. She didn’t want me to but I snapped this picture as I was leaving her for the first time. I’m so glad I took it. I see more than my daughter here. I see her opening the door to her new life and getting ready to close the door to the little girl she used to be. I’ll treasure this picture forever.
