My college-age daughter came home for a few nights over the holidays. Yes, she lives in the same town that I do but I still miss her being here all the time. It felt good to have her home in her own bed for those few days. Everything felt comfortable and safe. I even found myself checking in on her. I remember doing this same thing when she was a baby.
